Parameter is null, return all?

Hi, heres the problem, ive got a table, and im calling a stored
procedure on the table. Now lets say a row contains the numbers 1
through 5, and i had a parameter in the sp that would be given one of
those values, and then return the corresponding row, but if they it
were passed a null value, how could i make it return all objects?Right
now i have this but i also want to return level 2, 3, 4, 5, etc:
SecurityID = ISNULL(@.SecurityLevel, '1')You can use a WHERE clause like
WHERE (
@.SecurityLevel = SecurityID
OR
@.SecurityLevel IS NULL
)
This will often perform poorly, because there is no one
query plan that can efficiently serve both cases, and another
thing to try is
WHERE (
SecurityID >= COALESCE(@.SecurityLevel,-2147483648)
AND
SecurityID <= COALESCE(@.SecurityLevel,2147483647)
)
(or with other values if the type of SecurityID is not INT).

Page Numbers on Subreports?

How can you get the footer section (Page Numbers) of subreports to print when
part of a main report?
Im using RS 2000.
Thanks,
CraigAnswered my own question. Headers and footers of subreports are ignored.

Page Numbers in Excel

Hi,
When I export to Excel and Print Preview I get page numbers like 1 of 1 even though there are 2 pages.In both pages I get 1 of 1.
What should to do to correct it.
I don't have this problem with pdf.
ThanxFrom an "Export to Excel" perspective, there is only one page (sheet). When
you actually print (which is outside of Reporting Services), you may have a
different page count.

Page numbers does not appear while exporting to PDF format

Hi there,
Page numbers does not appear while exporting to PDF format.
I have a main report containing 6 subreports each within a rectagle to
enable page breaks after each subreport. Each subreport is 7.5in wide and 10
in long. I have included same measurements for Page width and Page Height in
report properties-> layout tab also for all the 6 subreports. Here all margin
size is set to 0in.
Main report has report body (8in wide and 9.325in long) and report footer
area (8in wide and 0.175in long) with page number textbox. I have set Page
width and Page height of main report in report properties to be 8.5in wide
and 11 in long.
Spacing is set to 0in. Top and bottom margins are 0.15in each and left
margin is 0.35in and right margin is 0in. I need these marginal settings to
make my data appear good in PDF export.
With these settings, the page numbers appear at the bottom in HTML format,
but it does not appear in PDF format. What is the issue? Where am I going
wrong?
Please help me with the issue. I am using SQL Server Reporting Services 2005
RTM Version on Windows XP Service pack 2.
Thanks.Hi ringt,
Thank you for using Microsoft Partner Managed Newsgroup Support.
From your description, my understanding of this issue is: You want to show
the Page Number in the PDF render format. If I misunderstood your concern,
please feel free to let me know.
I have tested on my side, I setup a report include a subreport and set the
report representation properties like you posted. I export this report to
the PDF format, it shows the Page Number.
Would you please check does this issue occur on all the report or only for
this specified report?
If this only appeared on a specified report, would you please send the rdl
file to me? I understand the information may be sensitive to you, my direct
email address is weilu@.ONLINE.microsoft.com (Please remove the ONLINE. when
you send the email), you may send the file to me directly and I will keep
secure.

Page Numbers

I need the page numbers in the header (or body if it can work like this) to
reset after a grouping in the body, is this possible?
In Crystal it is the checkbox option in the Section Expert tab called "Reset
Page Number After."I find the easiest way to do this is to use a subreport. I haven't found a
way to do that either other than subreporting it. The page numbers are only
shown on the subreport.

Group A

Page 2
Group B
Page 1
What I'm asking is that does the page number reset after each group?

Page Numbers

This may seem a dumb question..but Im adding "=Globals!PageNumber" in the
footer section of a table and I still get an error when the report builds
saying this variable can only be used in the header and footer sections..how
can I use this?
thanksIn case you are still waiting for a reply, try putting the
"=Globals!Pagenumber" in the Report Footer, not the Table Footer. Click
Report at the top of the page and select report footer.

Page number reseting

Are there any plans in RS 2005 to have greater control over page numbers with
regard to group breaks?
For example, if we have a multi-page report for each group with page numbers
"page x of y" in the page footer, we would like the page number reset on each
group break so that group 1 may have 3 pages (page 1 of 3, page 2 of 3, page
3 of 3) and group b may have 2 pages, (page 1 of 2, page 2 of 2), etc...
Thank you,You may want to check the following blog posting:
http://blogs.msdn.com/bwelcker/archive/2005/05/19/420046.aspx
It is not fully achieve what you are looking for - but at least it provides
you a way to reset the page numbers.

Page Number problem

Hello,
I have a problem displaying the correct page numbers (or number of pages). I've inserted the page number field into the page header b, it will always shows 1/1, no matter how many pages i got. on the other hands...how do I solve this problem?
Thanks!Make sure you're using the 'Page N of M' field instead of the 'Page Number' field.
Then use the section expert to check if any sections have the 'Reset Page Number After' box ticked.|||erm...i tried it. it still didn't work.

i tried putting it into the report header, it displays the pages correctly, just that the problem is i dont want it to appear on Report Header, i wanted the page number in the Page Header...due to the way the report was designed (customer's format).

Plz advise?|||oh wait...
i works!
thanks!|||ok..now another problem
let say there are 2 page. the first page displays 1/2. but the 2nd page also displays 1/2

how to solve it? thanks~~~
